Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimate he has made of the number of people who will begin receiving the new state pension in April 2016.

DWP have published an estimate of the number of people who will reach State Pension age in 2016/17 in figure 24 of ‘Impact of New State Pension (nSP) on an Individual’s Pension Entitlement – Longer Term Effects of nSP’ which can be found at:
