Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what steps he is taking to tackle the under-reporting of crime to the police.

We would encourage all victims of crime to report such incidents to the police so that they can be investigated and, the perpetrators of crime brought to justice. There is a range of activity underway to encourage more people to come forward and report crimes including domestic abuse, modern slavery and hate crime.
