Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what steps she is taking to help make the gas pipe network hydrogen-ready.

Government remains committed to assessing the case for blending hydrogen into existing gas networks. To this end, we continue to work closely with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to progress the blending safety assessment, which is reviewing evidence on the safety of introducing hydrogen blends into the existing gas networks.
