Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent assessment his Department has made of the effectiveness of identification of maternal mental health problems during maternal postnatal checks.
This question was answered on 8th July 2019
The Department has not made any such assessment.
NHS England is commissioning further work to establish a clearer picture of current practice.
