Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, for what reasons the Environment Agency does not have a Chief Scientific Advisor.

The Environment Agency is not a Government department but it does have a Director of Research, Analysis and Evaluation who performs many of the functions that would be expected of that role.
