Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to her Department's guidance entitled PPN 026: The Social Value Model, updated 5 August 2026, whether (a) climate change and (b) equality, diversity and inclusion metrics will no longer be applied to social value requirements in (i) public body and (ii) central government procurement; and whether the changes will be applied uniformly to the NHS.

PPN026 focuses on good jobs, skills and helping those that face barriers to employment, including those Not in Education, Employment or Training and those with a long term health condition or disability. Environmental standards and net zero commitments remain in contract specifications and technical requirements as appropriate.
