Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the letter, "Simplification and Agency of Government - Letter to all ministers", of 7 September 2026, whether the Cabinet Office Consultation Principles will be amended; and if she will place in the Library the new general guidance circulated by officials.

To align with the government’s revised approach to consultation and public participation, we will amend the Cabinet Office Consultation Principles. There is no current plan to place the new general guidance in the library.
