Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what discussions he has had with the Secretary of State for Transport on the funding of the outline business case for the Midlands Rail hub; and if he will make a statement.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Secretary of State for Transport regularly discuss a variety of transport proposals. The Department for Transport is currently reviewing the Strategic Outline Business Case for the proposed Midlands Rail Hub, including the request for funding to undertake an Outline Business Case.
