Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Minister of State, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, how many visits to graves and sacred sites his Department has facilitated for people of Chagossian descent in each of the last five years.

The FCDO has facilitated four heritage visits for people of Chagossian descent to British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) in the last five years: 3 in 2019 and 1 in 2020. Visits were suspended after February 2020 due to COVID-19. Each heritage visit included visits to graves and other sites of interest.
