Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what steps the DVLA is taking to publicise amongst drivers the recent changes to car tax.

Since 5 September 2014, all vehicle tax reminders issued by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) have explained the changes. The message is issued every month, directly to individual customers at the time at which it is most relevant. The DVLA also writes to all new keepers to remind them of the need to license their vehicles.
