HM Treasury does not collect data on tobacco sales, profits, marketing or research. HM Revenue & Customs does collect those financial records necessary to establish tax liabilities of individual tobacco companies and retailers. Any financial data collected for this purpose is subject to taxpayer confidentiality and not published by HMRC.
