Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much it costs to train (a) a pilot, (b) an air observer and (c) other types of aircrew for Crowsnest.
This question was answered on 7th July 2022
Once qualified on the Merlin aircraft, the cost to train an observer in the CROWSNEST role is £333,400 and a Pilot is £59,300. There are no aircrewmen.
