Departmental officials have regular discussions with NHS England on a range of issues, including support for patients receiving haemodialysis at home. NHS England advise that a Specialised Commissioning Circular was issued on 20 June 2022 to all commissioned providers of home haemodialysis and renal clinical networks. This stated that all providers should ensure that eligible patients are alerted to the available reimbursement arrangements. NHS England is seeking assurance through regional commissioners and renal networks that processes to distribute this communication and reimbursement processes are in place, with an initial review due in autumn 2022.
