Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what information his Department holds on the likely salary of the elected mayor for the West Midlands Combined Authority; and if he will make a statement.
This question was answered on 14th March 2016
The Department holds no such information. It is envisaged that decisions on the remuneration of Combined Authority mayors will be a matter to be decided by the Combined Authority on the basis of recommendations of an independent body.
