The Department for Transport has been working with railway station operators, including Transport for London and Network Rail, to roll out workplace testing. All operators were given the opportunity to register their interest in the scheme, with the offer including government funded tests.

That offer has since expanded to include community testing sites and a home testing model. The introduction of Universal testing enables all adults to access free tests from local pharmacies, other outlets and online. Transport operators have a wide range of options for testing their staff, as best suits their operation.
