Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the answer of 8 June 2026 to Question 4929 on Navy: Military Aircraft, what assessment has he made of the performance of the five Slocum G3 gliders during the recent 64 day oceanographic data gathering exercise conducted by the Meteorological and Oceanographic Information Warfare Group.

The glides performed as intended, operating independently to collect data on the underwater environment. The activity forms part of Atlantic Bastion and the transition to a Hybrid Navy, integrating uncrewed and autonomous systems into maritime operations.
