Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the answer of 21 September 2026 to question 29232 on Defence: Finance, which risks have been transferred to his Department from the Ministry of Defence; and when.
This question was answered on 19th October 2026
His Majesty's Treasury have taken on responsibility for the cost of further support for ongoing international objectives, including Ukraine Security Guarantees in case of a ceasefire, and unlocking additional savings from improved procurement.
These risks were transferred at the point the Defence Investment Plan was finalised.
