Cafcass does not routinely record workplace attendance by employees' designated office location.

As of October 2026, 138 staff had the Manchester (Piccadilly Gate) office recorded as their designated office location. During the most recent working week for which data are available (5-9 October 2026), an average of 9.8 unique users per day accessed the Cafcass network from the Manchester office, with 49 unique daily logins recorded across the week. These figures are derived from network access data and represent unique daily logins from the Manchester office.

Cafcass does not require staff to attend an office for a specified number of days each week. Staff whose designated office location is Manchester may be working from another Cafcass office, attending court hearings, undertaking visits with children and families, or carrying out other work-related travel. Equally, individuals accessing the Manchester office may be based at another Cafcass location. As a result, the data should not be interpreted as the percentage of Manchester-based staff attending the office.
