The Department is working with other Government departments, the National Health Service and other organisations to rapidly put in place a range of measures to provide support to the general population and specific groups.

Access to services and how disabled people do so are determined by local authorities, who are responsible for complying with the Equality Act 2010.

We have also published a range of guidance to help people manage their mental and physical health and that of the people they care for. This includes our guidance for the public on the mental health and wellbeing aspects of COVID-19 which is available at the following links:

Thousands of approved volunteers are already helping to support the most vulnerable who are self-isolating as part of an unprecedented response from the public and we remain enormously grateful for this public goodwill and generosity.
