To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what her Department's policy is on whether trade union facility time counts as qualifying work under visa rules.

Sponsored workers are permitted to participate in trade union activities, including those of trade union representatives, providing they are compatible with the role the worker is sponsored to undertake.
