While there are no VAT reliefs for the construction of memorials, the Government operates a grant refund scheme for refunding some or all of the VAT costs involved in the construction, repair and maintenance of certain memorials. Further details of the scheme and application for a refund should be made to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
