Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what recent assessment has been made of the classification of new planning applications for data centres under Class B8 (Storage or Distribution).
This question was answered on 20th October 2026
My Department has made no such assessment.
