Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether campervans, caravan and motorhomes park pitches will be subject to the overnight visitor levy.

The Government published its response to the Overnight Visitor Levy consultation on 10 September 2026. The levy will apply to short-term, commercially let overnight accommodation. Strategic authorities will, however, be able to locally exempt accommodation types such as tent pitches, touring caravan pitches and dormitory-style accommodation like hostels in their areas.
