Both the Prime Minster and the Foreign Secretary have made publicly clear that the UK will continue to protect and promote Gibraltar’s interests. The Royal Navy challenges all maritime incursions into British Gibraltar Territorial Waters and my Department backs this up by making formal diplomatic protests to the Spanish government. Officials in Madrid meet regularly with their Spanish counterparts to raise our specific concerns.
