Defra and PackUK regularly engage with food and drink manufacturers and industry bodies through forums, bilaterial meetings and consultations. Discussions include how Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging can reduce unnecessary packaging and improve recyclability.

The producer-led UK Packaging PRO will work alongside PackUK to help shape the scheme’s future delivery.
