Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, What recent conversations has she had with the fire and rescue authorities about their operational needs following the wildfires of September 2026.

As announced by the Prime Minister during the extreme heat experienced across the UK in the summer, we will be hosting a Wildfire Summit. The summit will focus on the actions required to reduce the risk of wildfire, improve preparedness, strengthen frontline response, and support communities to become more resilient.
