Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether he has had discussions with his Commonwealth counterparts on the potential merits of waiving standard visitor visa fees for citizens across each Commonwealth member state.
Visas are an important part of securing the UK’s border and are an effective tool for the UK in reducing illegal immigration, tackling organised crime and protecting national security.
The government has no plans to waive or reduce visit visa fees for nationals of Commonwealth member states.
