Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, by when he plans to complete the governance, assurance and investment approvals requirements to deliver the Naval Support Integrated Global Network Submarine Support Full Business Case.

The NSIGN Submarines Full Business Case is progressing through the Ministry of Defence's established governance, assurance and investment approvals processes.

The Department is undertaking the necessary scrutiny and assurance activity as expeditiously as possible to ensure that the proposal is affordable, deliverable, commercially robust and represents value for money before any final investment decision is taken.

As this process is ongoing, it would not be appropriate to provide a specific completion date while those processes remain ongoing.
