Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, if she will make it her policy to pause universal credit deductions during the covid-19 outbreak for (a) third party suppliers (b) universal credit and benefit overpayment (c) universal credit advance and (d) recoverable hardship payment; and if she will make a statement.

As both the Prime Minister and Chancellor have made clear, the Government will do whatever it takes to support people affected by COVID 19 and we have been clear in our intention that everyone should be supported to do the right thing.
