The government recognises that parents and carers need clear support to feel confident helping children stay safe online. The ‘You Won’t Know Until You Ask’ campaign and Kids Online Safety Hub provide practical tools to build children’s resilience to misinformation and critical thinking skills. The Hub offers trusted guidance and resources to help parents and carers discuss harmful or misleading content. We are also introducing a ban on social media services being offered to under-16s.
