Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, on what dates the Strategic Risk Group that is chaired by Ministers and attended by the CEOs of airline, airport and ground handler companies has met since its inception.

The Summer Resilience Group is a Senior Official operations group that meets weekly and brings together officials from DfT, Border Force, Treasury and No.10 with Operations Directors from across industry to assess at a granular level the resilience of the sector and mitigations. This group has met seven times to date and will continue to meet throughout the summer.

I chair the weekly Strategic Risk Group, as the Minister for Aviation, which brings together senior executives from across the aviation sector. To date this has met five times and will continue to meet throughout the summer.
