Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what the maximum daily covid-19 PCR testing capacity was at each regional testing centre in England for each month from January 2021 to the latest date for which data is available.

We are unable to provide the information requested as it is commercially sensitive. We are currently running a procurement exercise for assisted testing services at regional test sites in England. Information related to specific testing capacity at each of these sites forms part of the competitive tendering process. Publication of this information could weaken the Department’s position in commissioning and achieving value for money in the procurement of future services.
