Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, with reference to the Statement of Approach on the review of the Airports National Policy Statement, published on 25 November 2025, when she plans to hold roundtable events with key stakeholders, including community and environmental groups.

We are engaging with a range of external stakeholders as part of the Airports National Policy Statement (ANPS) review process, as per the published Statement of Approach on the review of the ANPS. As part of this the Department has held a series of roundtable events including with key stakeholder groups representing environmental groups and communities. We are working to consult on the outcome of the ANPS review by the summer. Once the consultation is launched this will provide the opportunity for stakeholders to submit views on the detail of the policy proposals and we will continue to engage as part of this.
