Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what estimate her Department has made of the value of (a) dividends paid to shareholders by United Utilities and (b) financial penalties, enforcement undertakings and regulatory underperformance payments incurred by that company in each of the last ten years.

Ofwat reports that United Utilities Water Limited incurred net Outcome Delivery Incentive rewards of £38.9 million (2015-20) and £108.4 million (2020-25), and a £35.2 million net penalty in 2025-26. No enforcement undertakings were recorded.
