Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether the policy of publishing details of officials who earn more than the Prime Minister applies to temporary appointments.

Following the review by HM Treasury in 2012 of the tax arrangements of senior public sector appointees, departments are responsible for publishing information on temporary appointments and other contingent labour in their annual accounts.

Before 2012, such transparency did not exist.
