Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether financial incentives are being offered to rebuild the domestic defence manufacturing and industrial base.

The Ministry of Defence is taking action to strengthen the UK's defence industrial base through targeted investment in skills, innovation, regional growth and supply chains. Through the Defence Industrial Strategy and Defence Investment Plan, the Ministry of Defence has committed £250 million to five Defence Growth Deals across the UK and £182 million to a defence-industry skills package. In addition, the forthcoming Defence Finance and Investment Strategy will support greater private investment into defence and dual-use businesses.
