Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment she has made of the effectiveness of national anti-littering campaigns in reducing littering behaviour; and whether she plans to introduce further public awareness initiatives.

National Highways works in partnership with local authorities and anti-littering organisations to raise public awareness of the costs and environmental impact of littering. National Highways will be working in partnership with local councils to drive behaviour change with signage at litter hotspots and through media campaigns.
