Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps she is taking to measure the proportion of expenditure allowed to United Utilities through the price review process that is (a) committed, (b) contracted and (c) actually spent on infrastructure improvements in each financial year.

Water companies publish details of their expenditure through their annual reporting in line with guidance set by Ofwat. Ofwat monitors company expenditure, publishes relevant information, and compares performance between companies. This includes in relation to Price Control Deliverables.
