Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how much United Utilities has been required to return to customers as a result of expenditure allowed through previous price control settlements not being delivered; and if she will publish that information by price control period.

Water companies publish details of their expenditure through their annual reporting in line with guidance set by Ofwat. Ofwat monitors company expenditure, publishes relevant information, and compares performance between companies. This includes in relation to Price Control Deliverables.
