Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many kilometres and what percentage of United Utilities' water mains network are scheduled to be replaced in each year from 2025-26 to 2029-30; and how many years it would take to renew the company's existing mains network.

Water companies are responsible for understanding the operation, costs and delivery of their networks and investment plans. Ofwat monitors company performance against the commitments and targets agreed through the price review process and publishes relevant information through its regulatory processes.
