Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many of prisoners released under the second tranche of the early release scheme on 13 October 2026 have been fitted with a tag.

The Ministry of Justice routinely publishes Official Statistics on electronic monitoring and on prisoner releases, as part of the Electronic Monitoring Statistics Quarterly and Offender Management Statistics Quarterly publications.

The requested information forms a subset of the data underpinning total release statistics and monitoring statistics intended for future publication and, therefore, cannot be disclosed.
