Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what estimate she has made of the financial cost to United Utilities since 2015 arising from (a) court fines, (b) enforcement undertakings, (c) Ofwat penalties and underperformance payments and (d) other regulatory enforcement relating to pollution and sewage discharges.

Information on enforcement action and financial penalties is published by the Environment Agency and Ofwat. Ofwat also publishes information on United Utilities’ performance payments and penalties through its Water Company Performance reporting.
