Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what steps he is taking to ensure that leasehold management companies meet their contractual obligations to tenants.

There are two codes of management practice, approved by the Secretary of State in June 2016, for the residential leasehold sector. These set out the law and best practice in relation to managing agents and tenants, and can be used in evidence in Court or tribunal proceedings.
