Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, with reference to the Department for Work and Pensions press release entitled Hundreds of thousands of pensioners urged to check they're not missing out on vital Pension Credit, published on 13 October 2026, what proportion of the additional 33,500 Pension Credit applications received following the 2025 awareness campaign resulted in an award.

The Department for Work and Pensions press release entitled Hundreds of thousands of pensioners urged to check they're not missing out on vital Pension Credit, published on 13 October 2026, should have referred to 33,500 additional Pension Credit awards rather than an additional 33,500 Pension Credit applications. It has now been corrected.
