Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, pursuant to the answer of 8 September 2026 to Question 21234 on Water Charges: Social Tariffs, whether Ofwat holds a consolidated table of the average cross-subsidy and change to cross-subsidy that non-tariff customers will be charged from 2025 to 2030 as a result of changes to social tariffs including waste water across (a) England and (b) each water company.

Ofwat will shortly publish 2025-26 WaterSure bill reduction data, based on companies’ Annual Performance Report submissions. Additionally, through the PR24 business planning process, Ofwat requested information from water companies on average customer cross-subsidies for social tariffs and forecast changes, which it summarised in its report on water companies’ affordability plans.
