Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, pursuant to the answer of 8 September 2026, to Question 21231, on Water Charges: Social Tariffs, whether OFWAT holds a consolidated table of the average cross-subsidy, and the change to the cross-subsidy, that customers not in receipt of WaterSure will be charged from 2025 to 2030.

Ofwat will shortly publish 2025-26 WaterSure bill reduction data, based on companies’ Annual Performance Report submissions. Additionally, through the PR24 business planning process, Ofwat requested information from water companies on average customer cross-subsidies for social tariffs and forecast changes, which it summarised in its report on water companies’ affordability plans.
