Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, whether his Department (a) was consulted on and (b) approved any reduction in Operational Capacity at any prison since 5 July 2024.

Consultation on and approval of operational capacity changes is conducted by relevant senior officials with delegated authority to act on behalf of the Secretary of State.
