Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, whether those imprisoned under the new criminal offences related to pornography introduced by the Crime and Policing Act 2026 will be eligible for early release under the Earned Progression Model.

The new offences relating to pornography in the Crime and Policy Act 2026 are not yet in force. They will come into force on 6 November 2026.

Rape and certain child sexual offences are excluded from the Progression Model as well as unlawful killing and indecent assault.
