To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how much HM Prison & Probation Service is spending on private contractors that serve the functioning of prisons.

The Ministry of Justice's spend for HM Prison and Probation Service with third-party suppliers during the year-to-date period of financial year 2026/27 (1 April 2026 to 30 September 2026) was £1,848,632,724.
