To ask the hon. Member for Warrington North, representing the Speaker's Committee for the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, whether IPSA has made an assessment of the potential merits of providing guidance on council tax surcharge for Members.

The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority has advised Members who have to work in two locations on funding for the second homes premium council tax. MPs can apply for additional funding should the need arise and in instances where a projected overspend has been caused by a matter outside of their control.
